This Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information received about you when you visit our website, create an account to apply or register to our courses.
Our role in your privacy
If you are an Am2P applicant, a registrant or business contracting party, or just visiting our website, this policy applies to you.
Our responsibilities
The Am2P/Eu2P Central Office is based in France (University of Bordeaux), hosts and manages this website. As such, this policy complies with EU and French data protection law (General Data Protection Regulation), under the supervision of the Data protection officer of the University of Bordeaux.
If you are resident outside the EU then we cannot confirm that our collection and treatment of personal data is compliant with your local data protection/privacy laws.
If you do not agree to your data being dealt with in the manner described in this statement then please do not submit your personal details.
However, please note that where you do not submit personal details that we request, your access to the services/materials offered by this website will be restricted.
Your responsibilities
- Read this Privacy Policy carefully, because by visiting or using the Am2P website, you agree to its terms. This Privacy Policy is a part of the Am2P website Terms of Use. This applies only to the Am2P website, and not to the websites of any other institutions, including companies, agencies or universities that are partners of the Eu2P Consortium
- If you are a course applicant or registrant, please also check the Eu2P Terms of Use and Terms of Sales: they may contain further details on how we collect and process your data.
- If you provide us with personal information about other people (business contracting parties), or if others give us your information, we will only use that information for the specific reason for which it was provided to us. By submitting the information, you confirm that you have the right to authorize us to process it on your behalf in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
When and how we collect data
From the first moment you interact with Am2P, we are collecting data. Sometimes you provide us with data, sometimes data about you is collected automatically.

Types of data we collect (with your consent)
Contact details
When you create an account on our website, we collect your name, email address, and encrypted password data.
We can also collect your postal address and telephone number when you complete an online application form.
Data that indirectly identifies you
A third party web analytic service is collecting, in particular, your IP address, that helps geolocalizing where you might visit our website from.
Data from your applications
When you complete an online application process, we collect your course and course session selection, your sex, your date and place of birth, an identification picture, your education and professional track record, including scans of diplomas, payment status, applied savings...
Financial information
When you complete an online registration process, we collect your bank payment type choice (online bank payment, bank transfer, other...) and the bank transaction outcome (validation or failure).
NB: An external accredited and certified online payment third party service will collect your financial transaction data for online payment from your bank. We do not have access to and do not collect any of these transaction data.
Data on how you use the Am2P website
We temporarily collect your course cart activity (so that you can access it later on if needed) and possibly associate it with your account (if authenticated on our website).
We also collect your account authentication time and duration.
Browser type and version, screen size, operating system and version, path you take through our site, products/services viewed, page response times, download errors, how long you stay on our pages, what you do on those pages, how often, and other actions... are collected by a third party web analytic service.
What about really sensitive data?
We don’t collect any "sensitive data" about you (like racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious/philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, health data, data about your sexual life or orientation, and offences or alleged offences).
What about children data?
Am2P is a Higher Education service directed to and intended for use only by those who are 18 years of age or over (typically 21 years old or over). We do not target at children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from any person under 18 years of age.
How and why we use your data
Data protection law means that we can only use your data for certain reasons and where we have a legal basis to do so. Here are the reasons for which we process your data:
Keeping the Am2P website running
Managing your requests (remembering your course cart selection, creating and updating an account, remembering your settings, login and authentication, applying or registring to a course, remembering your application and registration or your group applications and selections for business contracting parties).

Managing academic processes
Dealing with and contacting you about your enquiries, application or registration processes, examination, diploma information.
Within this frame, some information is transmitted to Eu2P Partner Universities for local registration, marks, as well as for diploma validation and award, university statistics, and alumni network related communication.
As part of Eu2P, Eu2P Partner Universities do respect the very same personal information policies.
We also share applicants list data among Am2P program board members for Certificate students' selection and student lists are transferred to relevant trainer teams to prepare and manage class tutoring, organise activities, monitoring, assessment and grading.
Finally, we use student data for internal Am2P/Eu2P statistics, and alumni communication.
We will not transfer, disclose, sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required to do so by law.
At any time, you may update some personal data within your Am2P / My Eu2P website account profile page. Some information cannot be updated or removed from the My Eu2P website as they could become incompliant with the initial registration data.

You can change your mind!
If you have previously given consent to our processing your data you can freely withdraw such consent at any time. You can do this by emailing us at am2p.office@am2p-courses.com.
If you do withdraw your consent, and if we do not have another legal basis for processing your information, then we will stop processing your personal data. If we do have another legal basis for processing your information, then we may continue to do so, subject to your legal rights.

- gaining insights from your behaviour on our website
- delivering, developing and improving the Am2P service

- determining whether marketing campaigns are effective
- enhancing data security
In any case, these legitimate interests are only valid if they are not outweighed by your rights and interests.

You can choose not to provide us with personal data
If you choose to do this, you can continue to use the website and browse its pages, but we will not be able to process transactions without personal data (like creating account, applying or registering to courses).
You can turn off cookies in your browser by changing its settings
You can block cookies by activating a setting on your browser allowing you to refuse cookies. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. If you turn off cookies, you can continue to use the website and browse its pages, but Am2P and certain services (like remembering cart choices, creating account, applying or registering to courses) will not work effectively.
You can ask us not to use your data for marketing
We will inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for marketing and if third parties are involved. You can opt out from marketing by turning off your opt-in choice in your account settings. You can also email us at am2p.office@am2p-courses.com.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights by sending us an email at am2p.office@am2p-courses.com.
You have the right to access information we hold about you
This includes the right to ask us supplementary information about:
- the categories of data we are processing
- the purposes of data processing
- the categories of third parties to whom data may be disclosed
- how long data will be stored (or the criteria used to determine that period)
- your other rights regarding our use of your data
We will provide you with the information within one month of your request, unless doing so would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others (e.g. another person’s confidentiality or intellectual property rights). We’ll tell you if we can’t meet your request for that reason.
A small fee of 3 Euros will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, you should address your request to the Am2P/Eu2P Central Office.
You have the right to make us correct any inaccurate personal data about you
If you think that any information we have about you is incorrect or incomplete please log in to your account and update information accordingly. If impossible via your account (complete application file under selection process, academic registration record), write or e-mail us as soon as possible at am2p.office@am2p-courses.com. We will correct or update any information as soon as possible.
You can object to us using your data for profiling you or making automated decisions about you
We may use your data to determine whether we should let you know information that might be relevant to you (for example, tailoring emails to you based on your behaviour). Otherwise, the only circumstances in which we will do this is to provide the Am2P service to you.
You have the right to be ‘forgotten’ by us
You can do this by asking us to erase any personal data we hold about you, if it is no longer necessary for us to hold the data for purposes of your use of the Am2P website. But note that some of your data, once lawfully registered for diplomas archives purpose, will be kept by the Universities for such legally-framed purposes.
You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding our use of your data

How secure is the data we collect?
We have physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
We take security very seriously. The personal data we collect about you is stored in limited access servers behind a firewall. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect on-line.
All our staff members are made aware of the security procedures they must follow when handling personal information. Data is protected from unauthorised access and we are confident no one will be able to access your personal information unlawfully.
We also protect data that is being transferred. As long as your web browser supports the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), any personal data transmitted from your browser to our web service, or from the service to your browser, will be encrypted.
And please remember:
- You provide personal data at your own risk: unfortunately, no data transmission is guaranteed to be 100% secure
- You are responsible of your username and password: keep them secret and safe!

Where do we store the data?
The personal data we collect is processed at our offices in Bordeaux. As explained in Managing academic processes, academic data are also used and stored by our Am2P/Eu2P Higher Education Institutions.
By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing by us.
NB: Third parties identified below also collect non personal data (navigation, web browser/operating system/plugins name and versions, device screen size, IP adress/timezone/browser language...) in other data processing facilities operated by them.
How long do we store your data?
We, the Am2P/Eu2P office, will store your data as follow
- Application/registration data for a duration of 10 years (so that you can benefit from savings on your next Application/registration), be contacted by us for program and alumni matters)
- Course program performance data for the duration of the course
- Course program outcome (final exam copy, marks, award) for the duration of 10 years
As explained in Managing academic processes, academic data are also used and stored by our Am2P/Eu2P Higher Education Institutions. Such data have the value of public archives and are subject to specific national rules about their storage. As an example, the université de Bordeaux keeps application files for 2 years and student activity data for 50 years.
Third parties who process your data
Our website uses Google Analytics tool to analyse visitors' page views, duration, access time, geolocalization, the origin of their visit (direct access, link, search engine, campaign), what are their device, screen size... Please read Google (Google Analytics) Privacy policy for more info.
We also use YouTube videos embedded on some of our pages, playing them will activate some data collection on YouTube/Google side. Please read Google (YouTube) Privacy policy for more info.
We outsource our course online payments with Paybox by Verifone accredited and certified online payment service (3D Secure, "Verified By Visa”, “MasterCard SecureCode"...). Please read Paybox by Verifone Privacy policy for more info.
